Victor's on Water - EXCELSIOR

Although we have booked a reservation on open table and received a confirmation and remembrance, we were disappointed when we arrived that victors has closed permanently. we enjoyed a nice dinner at coalition on the road where we heard that the space will soon be reopened under new ownership as an Italian restaurant.

Unfortunately there is nothing to rate on victor’s as we had too foot until the entry for our reservation on this evening, we found a note attached to the door that it had closed! very disappointing; for one we have lied on open table for this reservation for the evening and have not made any other second app anywhere else. Secondly, this was a special occasion to celebrate with friends and we were allowed to dinate because of this disappointing end of an evening without a place.

Second time, now and very underwhelmed by management and service,

We had great food and exceptional service. the waiting staff was very attentive. I thought the prices were a bit high, but overall a great experience.

Service was extremely slow as was the wait for our food. There were no more than 5 other tables with other diners but the servers and kitchen didn’t seem to have any urgency. We went for restaurant week didn’t order off of that menu as nothing appealed to us), we have wanted to try Victors for some time. We were served luke warm tap water I watched the server fill the water craft in a sink with a dirty bucket dish towel in it) at the table, flies were bothersome while dining and the $11 chocolate cake was enough for 3 bites. Very disappointing- we won’t be back.
