The Mug - Excelsior Springs

The mug is one of my all time favorite coffee places. The owners are fantastic and always coming up with fun ideas for different seasons of the year. The coffee is wonderful, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is amazing. Definitely a place to go if you are visiting Excelsior Springs. , They have a drive through that's super quick :

For my customer experience, I went to the Mug Coffeehouse right down the road from the local McDonald's. I went on Monday the 28th around 2:45 p.m right after school. I purchased the turtle frozen coffee and a slice of peanut butter cake. The cake was put together well and it wasn't sloppy. The frozen coffee was delicious and you could really taste the flavor. It only took three minutes to make coffee and get my piece of cake. They also had a bunch of exotic drinks like the Bob Marley and Autumn Harvest. The coffeehouse was beautiful on the inside. It had a bunch of bright and warm colors. The seating was well put together but I couldn't dine in because of the corona, though I understand that. The outside was a little bit bland; it just had a patio outside with four tables. To get in the place was easy and parking could fit a lot of cars or trucks. The coffeehouse looked cleaned and well maintained. The employee that was there was nice and told me about the new item they recently made. The overall price for the cake and coffee was only 8 dollars which blew my mind because I thought it would be expensive for being a semi-new place. I paid with my debit card but they did accept cash. I do say that the items I purchased were worth the price. I honestly think that they are better than Starbucks. They are a lot cheaper and more efficient than Starbucks and a lot nicer. The Mug does have a curbside pick-up app which I did download and it was easy to use. They also have Instagram and Facebook, as well as a website. The girl that was there told me about the weekly deals they had and as well as some new items they would showcase in a week. I didn't physically see any deals on the app or in the store which was a bummer. But I did like that they had a table specifically for setting up the mobile app and curbside app. The best part of my experience was that my order was really fast and it didn't take long to make. There wasn't really anything that bad about my experience but it didn't really have anything that sounded good. I would recommend this place to coffee drinkers and people that love small, quiet places. I would go back again, maybe try new flavors of coffee. Now I know this isn't the mug Coffeehouse but I couldn't find one for the coffeehouse on yelp but still really amazing.

The cutest coffee shop with so many amazing choices. I can tell it's family owned, but in the most charming way. Great service, personal conversations (even with two out of towners! she was so worried my gravy wouldn't be warm enough but it was perfect. The chai latte was delicious, the egg sandwich had a huge biscuit! I can't rave enough about this place. Even the decor inside just made it feel like some place I had to come back to.

Love, Love, LOVE this place. The employees are seriously the NICEST anywhere in ES and the coffee is delicious. Also don't sleep in the cheesecake sopapillas...the BEST!

Delicious!!! We had muffins and cinnamon rolls. Would come back again as they have a lot of variety for breakfast and lunch.
