Samurai - Évora

This place is a good value. For 12.99 lunch, 15.99 dinner it was a good deal and offered up tons of sushi, with the option to have some custom cooked platters as well. It got pretty crowded after 8 pm but it never seemed to be so full that there was a wait (this was during the week). The sushi was pretty average/average quality, fresh enough. It was nice to have a break from 'taters and whatever meat which is most typical around the area.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. For a cheap price we had an all you can eat buffet experience with tasty sushi. Beside the 'standard ' sushi there was also a variety of more special sushis, which were very good. The hot buffet was also good and you could get yourself a plate full of food for the Teppan Yaki. If you 're in Evora and done with Portuguese food for an evening, I highly recommend eating here. Don 't go there though if you want a romantic dinner: it 's a big restaurant with bright light, so the atmosphere is not very nice. But te food makes it more than worth goingQ

Very high quality original Japanese food, served with kindness, charm and friendliness. Very (very) acceptable prices. Highly recommended.

There are a lot of these Sushi/Chinese buffets around Portugal. Too often they disappoint. This one was very good. Samurai provides a generous sushi selection as well as a Teppan buffet that we did not try. There was enough variety and quality in the sushi options that my wife and I both got our fill. They also provide a good variety of fruit for dessert.

After reading the other ratings I can see why other reviewers said cheap, exactly, cheap cold food from the ‘hot’ buffet, don’t go here, I walked out after 10 minutes, complained about cold food and the staff weren’t interested in my complaint at all.
