A melhor sopa de pedra e bifana que já comi em Portugal.
The best cream of fish without a doubt. Really good. Affordable prices and very good quality. Good desserts ; Fast service; Service always on the go.
The nail meat is too thin and small, it almost looks like a bifana, just change the type of meat. Otherwise I like the service and the other products available.
This place was suggested by our guide and even if at first I thought this was a sales tactics and he was getting some kind of commission for the referral, I understood right away once i was inside. The place was packed from local people. it was a bit chaotic to figure out their system (as I don't speak portugese) but it was worth the wait. Their main item on the menu the Bifana is only 2 Euro. One can be full just on that. We went for the full experience so I tried one of their soup and took my Bifana's loaded with an egg, bacon, salade, tomatoes, etc and I have one huge mug of beer and still it only cost us 13 euro's before tip for 2 adults. My least expensive meals in Europe so far!!! Warning: If you prefer Halal, Kosher, Vegetarian food I don't recommend this restaurent. One should know that Bifana's are large pieces of pork super thin escalope that are cooked/fried in melted butter. It is served on a local piece of bread as a sandwich that will soak up the butter so I would not recommend it for a daily lunch spot unless you choose their healthier soup options (that are really good by the way). This said, I have high cholesterol but the occasional treat won't kill me so allow me to be very frank when I did not experience one bit of guilt trying this local treat!
