Excellent! we went on Monday to midday, so there was a limited menu, but what was available was very good. try the homemade chess with the brot .. wow. it's a half hard cheese that has a big taste. the house red wine was from a weinberg of the region and spectacular for the price. we had spinach soup that loved my wife, and we shared the black booze. the pig was very good and we had enough food for both of us. a little of the beaten pass for tourists because of the labyrinth of the roads, but only a short walk from the center of evora. google maps brought us to the doorway.
Four of us ate here. Two had the tomato soup which I’m told was lovely. They don’t let you over order as the portions are generous. Wine from the barrel was great too. Worth a visit.
Very good menu with very tasty local food. We has Sea bream and grilled black pig. The pork was very tasty and was all lean meat.
We wanted a quiet, rustic place with great food...and got exactly that. As opposed to most places where the bread and other pre-meal items are placed on the table without explanation, we were told upfront that they were extra. The tomato soup lived up to its reputation...delicious and filling. Service was efficient and friendly. Would definitely return.
