Hickory Stick Barbecue - Everman

The barbecue is fantastic, and the baked potato salad is even better. My wife really enjoys the chicken, and the prices are quite reasonable.

This restaurant offers a delightful country setting with friendly service that makes the experience enjoyable. If I were just rating the ribs, it would definitely earn a five-star review. They were delicious even without sauce, perfectly smoked, and incredibly tender, easily coming off the bone. However, the sliced brisket was a letdown; it was dry, chewy, and lacked the flavor I expected. While it wasn't terrible, I wouldn't order it again. On a positive note, their sausage was impressive, boasting a rich, fatty flavor with just the right amount of pepper. The potato salad was nearly perfect as well, with the right balance of mayo and pickle, allowing all the flavors to shine through without one overpowering the others. The prices are reasonable, and the entire place was very clean. I'll definitely return just for the ribs!

I absolutely love Hickory Stick; it's one of my top choices in the DFW area. All the meats are delicious. If it's your first visit, I suggest trying the two-meat plate with brisket and either sausage or ribs. Alternatively, you could go for the three-meat plate and sample all of those options. On Fridays, they offer a thick pork chop that’s about two inches thick, which is definitely worth trying!

Me and my sister went there before they close today. The lady at the front that checked us out she was nice and the staff was wearing masks. The barbecue was actually good we had got the ribs the sliced brisket and the chicken but I would have to say that the chicken was dry. We also got the potato salad and that was really good because most barbecue places don't have a lot of good potato salad. Yes I would go back and it was right down the street from our house.

It wasn't too bad. The meat was slightly dry, but it was exceptionally tender. The potato salad and green beans were flavorful, with the green beans standing out as particularly delicious. They had a great home-cooked flavor. I couldn't finish it all since the plate was overflowing with food.
