The Shack - Evergreen

I had always noticed the signs for The Shack, but never considered stopping in until recently. After visiting the Conecuh store off the interstate, I decided to give it a try and now I can't get enough! I always order the same thing - fried oysters, hush puppies, and fried potatoes. It may be a lot of food, but it's worth it. I even think their oysters are better than what you can find at the beach. The service is excellent and the dining experience is wonderful in a picturesque setting.

I absolutely adored this place! The food was fantastic, the service was great, and I loved the decor. We tried the pulled pork plate and it was absolutely delicious. 10/10 would recommend!

I visited The Shack on May 01, 2022 with my family during our trip from Virginia to Texas. Our waitress, Olivia, was excellent! Not only was she friendly, but she also had a great sense of humor. I ordered the loaded fries and they were delicious! Their BBQ sauce is outstanding, which is high praise coming from a group of Texans who are known to be picky about their BBQ. The highlight of the meal was the cupcake milkshake. It was so tasty that it didn't last long after we left the restaurant. If I ever find myself in the area again, The Shack will definitely be at the top of my list of places to eat.

The first time they come back from the beach. cool looking place. the food was great. key limette drink fantastic, but margarita was not very good. the thought was closed because the hours were not updated on trip advisor. Sunday 11-3, Wednesday 11-3, Thursday Saturday 11-9.

This is a cool little joint with many positives. Nicole, our waitress, was very friendly and made the entire dinner more fun. My brisket Philly cheese steak, onion rings,, and baked beans were very good. The blueberry bread pudding was also tasty. The only negative was that my wife's pasta dish wasn't warm enough. I definitely plan to stop again when passing through Evergreen.
