The Crazy Crab Chicago - Evergreen Park

To begin with, the waitress was friendly and the restaurant was clean, aside from a few gnats. The dishes were tasty, but the snow crab had very little meat. Additionally, they added a large tip to the bill automatically. While the food was decent, I do not think I will be returning to dine there again.

A few months ago, we had a delivery order to our home that was unsatisfactory. Then, we dined in last week and had another disappointing experience. The fried chicken was actually quite good, but unfortunately, one of the oysters was bad. They did bring a fresh one later, but it took a long time. I had to ask for lemons myself as the server was too busy to give us enough attention. The seafood was also disappointing. We ordered the $75 special, but it was underwhelming with very few shrimp. We were so disappointed that we do not plan on returning.

The portion size for the price was disappointing. I spent $25 on fried shrimp and calamari and was not satisfied. I will not be returning and should have chosen Haire's Shrimp instead.

The food was excellent. Great for a date night out if you dont mind being messy. They do have a hand washing station so you dont have to worry about waiting for the bathroom. A bit on the pricey side so in my opinion special occasion or celebration orjust trying something out for fun. And if you are a seafood person, this is definitely the place for you. Reminds me of Joe'scrab shack.

Tried the special which was a pound of shrimp and 1/2 pound of crab legs with corn and potatoes for $3199. Also added a sausage. I ordered the trifecta sauce... BEWARE!!! I requested hot as the heat level and had to send it back. My mouth and tongue wereon FIRE!!! And that wasn 't even the highest level of heat. I 'm not faint at heart but I was punked. So grateful for our waitresswho, without hesitation, said I know what to do. She took my bag and returned with a level of spice that I could stomach.While the seafood was tasty, I 've had better. I love the flavored sauces but this sauce was so oily, it just rolled off theseafood. I prefer the thicker sauce that sticks to the seafood. The fried catfish was very good, fresh and hot. $12 for 2fillets. Service was great. Arrived soon after opening, so there was no wait.
