Moe's Southwest Grill - Evansville

This restaurant closed several months ago. While they had great salsa, the quality of the food suffered due to poorly trained staff, ultimately leading to their downfall.

The signage is obscured, and the location is entirely shut down.

It took nearly 20 minutes for our food to be served for just two people. The turnover rate here is absurd, and they seem to struggle to retain employees. The food is decent, but honestly, it’s not worth the wait.

Delicious food and much shorter wait times compared to other counters at the rest stop. Definitely choose Moe's over the other options at Hat Six!

However, my second experience was quite different. I ordered the stacker, which came with fresh cilantro, lettuce, and ground beef. Unfortunately, the staff member left it on the grill for too long while he was sorting out an overcharge issue. While he was addressing this, the manager passed by but didn't acknowledge me at all, which made me feel unwelcome—as if I were a nuisance for having been overcharged. After nearly seven minutes, the payment issue was finally resolved, but by then, my food was just being flipped on the grill. As you can see in the photo, it was charred on one side and not cooked evenly. If I hadn't been in a hurry, I would have requested a remake, but I had to make do with it. The burnt flavor on the tortilla was disappointing, and overall, the quality just wasn't there. I'm not sure if I'll return.
