Baja Fresh - Eugene

We always stop by when we're in town. The service is excellent and the food is fresh. The salsa bar is fantastic, and the staff is always very friendly.

I attempted to redeem my birthday reward at the restaurant because I couldn't do it online. When I asked the person at the register about it, they were somewhat rude and insisted that there was nothing they could do. I explained that I had tried to redeem it online, but they still maintained that there was nothing available and proceeded to give me the total. It was really disappointing to see such a lack of initiative. The reward is in my account, yet they were unable to apply it to my order. I used to love Baja Fresh, but this experience has left me feeling discouraged.

"Fresh" is truly an apt description! You can actually hear the chef preparing your guacamole in the mortar and pestle! The portions are generous, so you can easily take leftovers home for lunch the next day. The chicken is well-seasoned and incredibly juicy. There's an amazing variety of fresh, handmade salsas to choose from! While it is a bit on the pricier side, it's worth it. Expect to spend around $50 for a meal for two, including an appetizer to share, two drinks, and a tip.

I have food for the first time with my girlfriend. The service was friendly, but the food wasn't good. I have the Mexicano Burrito. It was probably 80% rice. The steak tasted rough as it was softened in fat, could only take a few bites. The burrito was dry and did not come with acid cream. had to pay 1,50 extra. Probably it won't come back to this place.

The menu has changed since I last went to this place but they still had my fajita burrito in their register. As always it was very tasty! The salsas are now in prefilled cups but are still available and the fountain drinks are open with a sign to use sanitizer before dispensing. I miss the salsa bar...hoping it returns in the future.
