Ike's Amish Depot And General Store

Really enjoyed strolling through here to see what kind of goodies they had. We were going to eat, but they were really busy so we decided to wait. Lots of Amish made goods available, so stop in and see what they have.

This place is an incredible gem in the area! You'll find a wide variety of delightful and unique items here. They have many handcrafted products made by the Amish, including soaps, clothing, jams, jellies, and even moonshine. Additionally, they offer an interesting selection of vintage sodas, including creams, ales, and fruit-flavored options. Don't forget to check out the little grill area where you can enjoy classic meals like fried bologna, hamburgers, and grilled cheese. If you're in the vicinity, it's definitely a must-visit! I absolutely adore this shop! The selection of Amish products is fantastic, but what truly sets it apart is the great conversation. The owner and his young female coworker were incredibly friendly, and I had a wonderful time chatting about Army/Navy with the owner.

Now, onto the negatives: there's no proper seating! They have a few bar stools and some card tables with folding chairs crammed into the small indoor area. Outside, there are makeshift seating options, but it's not ideal, especially if you're dining out with your family. We ended up eating in the sweltering heat at noon. We also received conflicting information over the phone about the prices. We were told that hot dogs and hamburgers would be $2 each. However, when we arrived and ordered 4 cheeseburgers and 2 sides of French fries, we were charged $30! That’s simply outrageous. Despite these issues, we might return to try their other two well-known items: the milkshakes and the fried fruit pies. I’ll keep you updated!

Ike's is a really enjoyable spot to check out. I was thrilled to find Moxie soda and Clark bars available, as they’re quite rare these days. The server who attended to me was incredibly kind and friendly.
