El Mex Kal - ESTES PARK

We arrived an hour before the conclusion on a Sunday after climbing Mt. Lily. They were very friendly, fast and the restaurant was very clean. The food was delicious. Definitely would eat here again

We are originally from Louisiana and have just spent 5 years in WA state that has some of the most polluting foods in the country. When we came south, we hoped what we called Tex-Mex. When we took our first bites, our eyes were huge and we both said Tex-Mex! Food was amazing, service excellent, what else can you ask?

The complimentary chips and salsa were a highlight, too. I've never had salsa with such a strong flavor before—there's a noticeable cumin presence that makes it truly unique. The service was excellent; we received our food less than five minutes after placing our order, and our waiter was friendly and attentive. We both agreed that it’s very good for Colorado Mexican food—not quite up to New Mexico's standards, but definitely better than anything we've found in Florida.

We spent a few days in Estes and wanted a good authentic Mexican food. Don't worry. This place was exactly what we were looking for! Great friendly service, food was from the charts and prices were extremely reasonable! Don't judge a book on his cover... the building doesn't look great, very simple and simple. We could immediately say we sat with locals and not tourists. If you like Mexican, do not give up this opportunity!

This is the best old-school Mexican restaurant in Estes Park. The service is excellent, and call-ahead orders are delivered quickly. I highly recommend it, especially as a Native Coloradoan of Hispanic descent.
