Poppy's Pizza And Grill - Estes Park

They advertise vegan crust, but their only sauce option is a garlic oil. I'm not a fan of vegan cheese, so I didn't get it and it was a pretty bad / dry pizza. Updated by previous rating on 2022-08-07

I asked for a veggie pizza with vegan cheese. When my pizza arrived, she was served with Mozzarellas. They made my pizza new and added the vegan cheese, but then pepperoni added to the pizza. Don't come here. It's not worth your time. Give zero stars if possible

We went here with our extended non-vegan family. The vegan options are slim picking in Estes Park and there is something that all restaurants can work on, so I give a star just for some options on the menu. We have the vegan burger and the rustic pizza with garlic olive oil base and no cheese. All pizza sauces contain cheese. You have daiya cheese, but we're not the biggest fan. The food is enough, but we will probably not come back unless we are socially inclined to do so with other non-vegan friends/family. If you're a vegetarian, you have a lot to get. In all transparency, I decided not to eat here. They have no vegan sauce available for pizza, as the Marinara Parmesan contains. The only option is to add olive oil instead. They also no longer have vegan pepperoni, as the description says. The prices are exceptionally high; a regular 12 inch pizza with some vegetables, no sauce and vegan cheese costs $30. Other pizzerias in touristic mountain towns (i.e. Piante Pizzeria in Breckenridge) also cost $10 less and have better opportunities to jump. If you really feel the desire for pizza in Estes Park, they have at least vegan cheese. But I would recommend other vegan options and better prices elsewhere.

Ordered a build your own pizza will all vegan ingredients. Delivered the “vegan” pizza to the table and after I ate one slice told me they made it with real cheese. As someone who is vegan with a dairy allergy, I am very upset with this experience. Updated from previous review on 2021-08-12
