El Mexicano - Essexville

Very secret. the staff is very fast and courteous, they double checked to ensure that we have not changed our thoughts about lunch specialties before there was no time yet. eating came at the perfect temperature and even at a very fast time. the waiting staff checked every few minutes to make sure we were good. I love this place.

I normally love the food here. However today was one of the worst experiences I’ve had ever. We come in and get told to sit anywhere, then don’t get acknowledged again until 20 minutes later. She took our drink order and disappeared for another 10 minutes, brought our drinks and then left without straws. When we finally got our food, it wasn’t cooked right, running with oil, and for some reason my steak tacos tasted like garlic powder.

Not long ago I would have given a higher rating. The food quality has diminished. This restaurant use to have the best lunch buffet with attentive staff. Even the building is neglected as my daughter had water drip on her food from a leaky roof on her last visit. She had to demand to be moved even when staff knew the roof was leaking. Such a shame to see the decline.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to Mexican food.....this place left alot to be desired. The best part was our server. He greeted us almost immediately....sat us and then waited on us. Excellent service. The food just didn't satisfy me. The rice tastes like ramen noodles....beans had a dish water taste and lets not get me started in the enchiladas.

Our first and last visit. We went there for the first time on Saturday evening. It was very slow. It took a long time for our food to arrive...one plate at a time. They brought our oldest daughter's food first, then our youngest daughter's food which was not what she ordered. Then me and my husband's food arrived next .It was very odd. The food wasn't worth the wait and we spent $60. We won't be back, it was a waste of time and money.
