This has been one of the best Italian restaurants in Essen for years. Even Lang Lang and Sir Norman Foster were discovered here. The ambience is simple, but elegant. This is a small and cozy place, it can accommodate up to 40 people. Make sure to make a reservation even on weekdays, not to be disappointed. You have a general menu that is supplemented by seasonal dishes that are not on the menu. These are changed every 2 3 days. Before the house Franco you feel comfortable and declares all the dishes that are not on the menu. The wine recommendations are always good and cheap. Of course you can always go for Tignanello or Sassiscaia. Simple dishes such as spaghetti arrabiata are cooked for perfection. The Pasta al Dente and the sauce spicy, but not overwhelming. The seafood is always very fresh as the monk with sage and pine nuts. If you long for a piece of meat, go for the simply grilled fillet of beef. This place can be expensive when you go for the fish and meat, but still good value for money.
Reliable maintained. Conservative. Reliable delicious. An Italian oasis!
The family-run restaurant boasts top gastronomy and excellent service. My clams with homemade spaghetti and the matching Sauvignon Blanc were a poem. I can only recommend. And if I hadn't lived in Hamburg, the Italian would be my choice.
The tables were sturdy and the armchairs were particularly comfortable. Tastefully everything is a pleasure here. The portions are in a good and saturating size. The service is always very eager and friendly without leaving! I found the offer particularly sympathetic.
