The Buccaneer may not be located in the most picturesque part of the city, nor is it housed in a beautiful building. However, despite its unattractive appearance, it serves hearty and affordable breakfast and lunch. Don't expect deli ham here, as it's not on the menu. If you're willing to overlook the exterior, it's worth a try, especially for those in Esquimalt near Esquimalt Road and Head Street. The friendly staff and loyal customers suggest that this place is here to stay. It's a great spot for locals to gather, chat, and stay up-to-date on city happenings over a coffee or a clubhouse sandwich. If you're not expecting a fancy dining experience, The Buccaneer is a safe bet to satisfy your cravings.
I highly recommend making a reservation at this tea room as it seems to be very popular. I tried the cream of earl grey tea and found it to be quite pleasant.
This restaurant in Barrie was fantastic, but unfortunately closed its doors in 2016. It has since relocated to Collingwood, Ontario.
On the final day of our visit home with Dad, we had lunch at English & Miller.
