Contribuiți la feedbackWe had an absolutely wonderful experience at Chef Warren’s. Every dish was outstanding and the sauces very elegant and flavorful. The wait staff were extremely helpful and understanding of a specific food allergy and the chef went out of his way to make the sauce without the allergen.
Chef Warren's was a huge let down. We tried to make the trip for a few months and finally got a chance to go to celebrate our anniversary. The service was outstanding very welcoming, however we didn't go to make friends. We were excited to try some different food from a trained Chef and the food just missed the mark. I order the Hanger steak and fries and I have no clue what this guy was thinking. Why in the world would you take the time to peel fresh potatoes and fry them up to make them crispy and then cover them in two different sauces that completely contradict each other. A cheese sauce and a red wine reduction sauce on top of crispy fries. By the time they got to me they were soggy as crap and the two sauces were just foul. I don't understand how you can be a trained chef and do something that stupid to a very simple dish. Steak and fries should be an easy money maker and this dude just screwed it up in the most basic of ways. For the amount of money you are going to spend in this place the food should be spot on. This was the farthest thing from it. We left and had to walk down the street and get some food at the Bell Tree Tavern because we were still starving after spending 145 dollars for two people. I will say that the staff was great though and they greeted us with anniversary best wishes and made us feel very welcome. That sucks because we won't be going back to see them again. Do better Chef. Your Red Wine sauce is awful.
Do you enjoy paying $300 for a beautiful cut of steak ordered rare, for a meal resembling a Salisbury steak frozen dinner to show up overcooked(over well) and covered in mushrooms? If so Chef Warrens is for you! Don’t worry he puts his dirty fingers on every dish and tastes each one that leaves the kitchen so I suppose you’d say it’s “hungry man” approved. You can watch from the bar. The wait staff is wonderful but m the food is terrible. The seafood is over salted because it’s clearly frozen and they try to rehydrate in water. It was chewy and fishy reminiscent of those microwave; heat in a bag fishes they used to sell. It was unappetizing. Save your money and go to literally anywhere else. I honestly believe this place only has high ratings because maybe the owner is friends with people in the area? The food at Waffle House is fresher. If you want nice dining around the same price point. Make a reservation/pop into at Elliotts on Linden, Ashton’s, or 195 Fusion.
Instead of handling a situation like a mature owner of the resturaunt, she instead decided to insult a person personally and than return later to continue the argument where she (owner) were apologized to and continued to talk down to everyone at the table when they (the table) were trying to diffuse the situation. Oh and the food is like average at best, there are so many nicer restraunts in southern pines that do not charge $30-40+ for a single entree.
The food was delicious! Great service, would definitely return, highly recommend!!
