La Plage - Erquy

The only thing going for this hotel is the great location, however it is very tired and needs a major refurbishment. Rooms were very small, only just enough for 2 people. Wardrobe tiny. Holes in walls, doors, even the curtains! Balcony wooden floor rotten and a trip hazard. WiFi weak and not reliable in bedrooms. Breakfast limited and expensive, get there early if you want the poor quality cheese and ham, it was gone within an hour. No hairdryer in bedroom, it had to be requested from reception!!! Many French hotels have significantly improved in the last decade but this has not, relying totally on its location Will definitely not be returning.

We came as couple, for weekend, beginning of August. Very nice view to see the sun set, the logo of restaurant is correct, present exactly where the location of restaurant: “ Plage” is between rocks and lighthouse. Good food, kind service. Recommend with pleasure.

We dined in the hotel restaurant on both our nights there, sampling both the standard menu and a la carte choices. Every dish was beautifully presented and demonstrated great flavours. I a region that has literally hundreds of seafood restaurants, this is one that is worth travelling to sample it really is very, very good.
