Contribuiți la feedbackThe Hive Oasis restaurant has permanently closed down as of July 14th, 2016. I always enjoyed the friendly service, delicious coffee, and tasty meals during my visits, which occurred at least 15 times in the past year. It was conveniently located next to the Medical Center, making it a great meeting spot. I wish the owners all the best and thank them for their hospitality.
The restaurant has delicious food, friendly staff, and is very welcoming to children. I tried the Grilled Chicken Club sandwich and it was hands down the best I've had in a while. We will definitely be coming back regularly.
The service was fine but the food, very disappointing. I ordered juice of the day which was supposed to be Apple, celery and watermelon however the celery was so overpowering that I found it difficult to drink. I also ordered poached eggs on sourdough. The eggs weren't drained prior to being plated so the sourdough was almost inedible. Very disappointing.
Sent my "lunchtime special" meal back to the kitchen - salt and pepper squid - could not eat it - similar to eating a full dish of salt (I have had this dish many times and enjoyed it)...did not ask for anything else and was offered a free coffee...as I was leaving I was asked to pay the cost of the main meal...when I refused then they accepted I pay for coffee...lovely waitress (not her fault) but very arrogant abrupt lady manager...Has this restaurant changed ownership??? Used to be really great...
I recently visited Oasis for lunch, I have been various times in the past with mixed results however after my last experience I will never be back. Didn't take long to order my food - was 2 sandwiches with chips. We were not warned there was a long wait and after 30 minutes I started looking at my watch as I was due back to work. Followed up with the waitress who said it wouldn't be long, another 10 minutes passed with no food. I then followed up with a woman who I believe to be the manager or owner who said it wouldn't be much longer. The guy on the grill said it was being cooked now and I said just tell me if it isn't close to being ready as I need to leave soon and can't wait (gave them the option of just charging me for drinks and leaving the sandwiches). After 50 minutes I could not wait any more and as I stood up to go and pay for my drinks I was told my food was ready. I said I couldn't sit down and had to leave, when I mentioned it had been 50 minutes for 2 sandwiches I was told "you can see we're busy" and also refuted that I had been waiting for 50 minutes (even though I clearly knew the time I ordered as I sent a text straight after).Ended up having my sandwich takeaway and left the 2nd sandwich as my Mum was too upset by the attitude and lack of service. I won't be back not because of the long wait but the lack of service and consideration. Being dismissive and not providing good customer service is not a good way to build a repeat customer base.
