Contribuiți la feedbackThis restaurant is fantastic, my favorite dish is the chicken tikka Naga, it is absolutely perfect! The lentils are also amazing. Although they don't serve alcohol, you are allowed to bring your own.
A genuine Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine eatery that offers delectable tandoori dishes and flavorful, lightly seasoned curries that are both delicious and juicy.
My partner booked a table on the 8th June for my mums 80th Birthday, the date was shown as available on the website and the booking was confirmed as booked the next day. Then on the 20th June Tamarind Spice then cancelled the booking as of The Eid festival, this is known about well in advance so the booking should of not been confirmed and for them to cancel it after 12 days. I now have to find somewhere else to eat. I won't bother wasting my time in the future booking at this restaurant.
We had eaten in this restaurant before and enjoyed the food, which is unusual for me as I cook a lot of curries myself. I have travelled a lot in India and worked in the middle east so I know what curries should taste like. However we thought we would treat our friends for my husband's birthday. We got there at 2 20 on Sunday, May 14th and they closing at 2 30. The website said it was open no mention that it closed at 2 30 so we had a takeaway. We ordered butter chicken chicken Naga and x2 tandoori king prawn masala. We expected chicken Naga to be hot, which is was but hotter than usual and all you could taste was the heat. I cook this dish myself at home and have the Naga chillies but never put more than one in so you get the taste of the chillie with the heat. They must have put many more so it was just too hot. I did ask if they had changed their chef as the food was so different compared to before, but were told he was the same. The rest of the curries were packed with sugar and were certainly not enjoyable. Indian curry is not sweet except for the natural sweetness of the onion. I called the restaurant the manager and was told he was not there. I was asked to call back, this went on for a few times and was unable to speak to the manager. On the Sunday when we called in the afternoon we did speak to the gentleman in charge on the day and was offered a 50% reduction on our next visit but I still wished to speak with the manager. I then left my number, apparently he did call me but I never got the call. Eventually, when we did speak to the manager he agreed to give us 25% off whenever we went in next, not the 50% first offered. We didn't take up his offer as we felt 25% wasn't good enough as we had paid over £60 for what we considered, poor food (if you like very sweet curries, you will love it there). I
