It appears as though a thorough cleaning is desperately needed. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Overall, my experience can be summed up in one word: disgusting.
I went to this restaurant with a large group of people and we had pre-ordered our food. It took over an hour for our food to be served, and when it finally arrived, it was cold. Some of us received our rice while others got their curry, so we couldn't eat together. It took even longer for all the dishes to be served. Unfortunately, half of my meal never arrived, but by that point, I was too hungry to ask for it. The staff showed no remorse for the inconvenience.
I went with a group for curry but was disappointed with the experience. The restaurant charged £2.50 for a small glass of coke that was poured from a 2L bottle, which was pricey considering we could have bought two big bottles for the same price at the store. The service was very slow, and it took over an hour to receive our food even though we had pre-ordered. At one point, they even offered to reheat a customer's seafood curry because it was served cold. I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs.
The service was slow, the guys running it were in way over their heads and worst of all, the food was extremely poor possibly reheated (this was offered to one of our group, to reheat their seafood curry... A huge mistake.
It started with a little apprehension, opening the broken door into an empty restaurant on a Thursday at 8pm. The menus were hard to read due to poor print and food spilled on them, or they fell to pieces in our hands. Starters and poppadoms arrived in a reasonable time and we're fresh and tasty. Even the side salad was fresh which was a good sign. Once the plates were cleared, we ordered mains from a good choice of unusual dishes. Then we waited. The music got progressively louder, which was funny at first but got boring after the 5th play of a song that had a roaring Tiger every 30 seconds. Then we waited. The roaring Tiger played again. We waited. Then the waiter gave us new cutlery, kind of throwing it on the table, but not aggressively, just unusual for any restaurant. Roar roar again. We waited. After well over an hour, and the only customers, we got our meals. Not terrible, but mostly all the same. No heat of chilli. No spice, just bland. Well over two hours for a very underwhelming curry. The weatherspoons 100m away has more taste and 1/3 the price. Shame, but won't go again.
