Epping Sandwich Bakery - Epping Forest

I often visit this cozy cafe to purchase their large, crusty rolls, bread pudding, or cakes to take home after enjoying a mid-morning snack following my shopping. Yesterday, my husband and I went to St Margaret's hospital and then stopped in the town center for breakfast. We had two very satisfying and delicious breakfasts, along with piping hot and delicious coffee. I hope this charming cafe continues to thrive in Epping. It was nearly full at around 1:00pm, so it's clear that the locals in Epping appreciate the quality of this cafe. - B. Knight

Friendly, homely,and great food. Great place to meet up with family and friends. Great for a coffee, sandwich or full on meal.

The restaurant has excellent food and service, and I have been there many times. Unfortunately, I will not be returning due to the rudeness of the manager during my last visit. While I was in line, a lady served me and the manager accused me of ignoring her when she asked what I wanted. This was impossible as she was not there when I joined the queue. When she did arrive and asked what I wanted, I informed her that I was already being served. The manager then accused me of causing trouble every time I visit, which is not true as I have never had any issues with the staff before. Tracy, the owner, is lovely along with the rest of the staff. The manager seemed to want to save face in front of other customers by making me out to be the problem. I will not be returning as there are plenty of other dining options in Epping.

During the last couple of years I have regularly bought my bread and large crust tasty rolls...and slices of home made cake.. And about once a month I have lunch. I cannot fault the food or the friendly speedy service....and the prices are cheaper than others in Epping High St.. Spag Bol with salad is my favourite. And they even offer a lovely traditional Pie &Mash and liquor. Toilets ,clean with easy access.
