The coffee in this cafe is of poor quality, slightly overpriced and when the owner says you have to pay 50 cents extra for skim milk, then I say good bye! There's nothing special about this place and won't be going back.
It's disgusting! No hair nets are worn & yes there's hair in the food. They have pigeons that fly in the cafe. Once I ordered a chicken sandwich & they suggested I have avocado (up-selling). They then served a solid hard 1/4 in a sandwich. Thinking this was just a bad day I returned 6 months later. This time I had a chicken & mushroom crepe which was a tomatoey watery mess on a plate & they still had pigeons. Never again.
Well being a cafe, it serve its purpose. The Coffee is not bad. However it just does not have a twist like the Italian style coffee shop and its style in not to the main stream. The choice of cake and dessert can be more. But being a local cafe it simply work.
So as per the previous review I had heard that the management and chefs had changed and that it was not good so I wasn't expecting much.Have to say it was just ok, we had a crepe, a couple of pastas and a veal dish. One criticism is that the sauce on the prawn pasta, the ravioli and the crepe all appeared to be the same sauce, a pinkish creamy sauce. It was tasty enough but it does suggest a somewhat limited chef. The pasta was cooked well but some of it was stuck together. The prawn pasta had fresh tasting, firm and tasty prawns, The veal was tasty and tender and well cooked and served with very basic but well cooked vegetables.Coffees were excellent. There was no dessert menu but they have gelato. We had a chocolate and a hazelnut. The chocolate was good, the hazelnut was a weird texture like it had melted and been refrozen.
