Rafters Smokehouse - Enumclaw

We had lunch at this restaurant on Sunday, December 12, 2021. It is a small restaurant, but we found that their kitchen is either too small or they are understaffed, as it took 40 to 45 minutes from ordering our simple dishes (such as a hamburger and mac and cheese) to receive our food. We arrived at 11:20 am and they had already run out of all chicken dishes and sandwiches. The waitresses worked hard to deliver the food and checks to guests as quickly as possible, but there was only so much they could do when the kitchen was backed up. The food was decent, better than the typical low-quality food found at ski resorts, but not as impressive as one would expect for the price and not up to the usual standards of a full-service restaurant. When dining at a ski resort, one typically expects a quick and filling meal before heading back out to ski, but this restaurant did not deliver on either speed or food quality. Overall, it was nothing special and not worth writing home about.

I highly recommend this amazing lunch spot on the mountain! The pork belly BLT and grilled cheese with tomato soup are must-tries. The staff was fantastic and the drinks were delicious.

The restaurant is expensive for the low quality of food they provide. Their specialty dish is smoked brisket, but it was extremely dry. Not recommended!

It is a relatively small restaurant, but their kitchen is either undersized or understaffed lead time from placing an order (as simple as hamburger and mac and cheese) was 40 to 45 minutes. We arrived at 11:20 am and they were already out of all chicken plates and sandwiches. Waitresses try hard to get food and checks delivered to guests as quickly as they can, but there is only that much that they can do if kitchen is way behind. Food was OK, better than the total garbage typical for ski resorts, but less thrilling than one would expect for the price and worse than one generally expects from a full service restaurant. One generally wants to get a quick but filling meal at a ski resort and go back to skiing. This is not it. Neither speed nor food quality is there. Nothing to write home about .

I hope they improve their food quality for the price they charge otherwise they will be known as a nasty overpriced food place
