Steak 'n Shake - Ennis

The food quality is good. However, this location doesn't serve spaghetti like a typical standalone Steak 'n Shake restaurant. Additionally, there are limited truck parking spaces available. The hotel is quite comfortable and easily accessible from US 287/TX 34. The restrooms are clean, and there’s a cozy business right next door.

The fries were tasty, though incredibly salty. That’s the one positive point I can give. Unfortunately, the burgers were overly dry and poorly constructed; we couldn’t even finish them. The overall atmosphere of the place felt unclean. As for the drinks, we waited so long that we didn’t even bother with them. We ended up just driving down the street to grab some food elsewhere.

This place is quite different from what I expected. The young girl at the register had trouble counting change and needed assistance from another employee, which only complicated things further. We arrived 45 minutes before they claimed to be out of ice cream, and during our time there, we felt ignored when we asked for napkins to clean up a spill my daughter made. Additionally, there was a full trash bin near the fryers, and the area around it was quite messy. If employees aren't happy with their jobs, perhaps they should consider finding work elsewhere.

Cheapest diesel in the system/range on the pilotut card. small parking space. but the steak and shake is great. excellent people, and I must make a special order. that is an extra hurdle. always cheerful, and eating is always excellent.

Good food, and they have a bit of truck parking. Well worth the 5 min detour if your passing by on I-45.
