Contribuiți la feedbackWe have stayed at this hotel on several occasions but never again. The hotel is very shabby and needs a complete revamp. On arrival we were informed that we had been upgraded. Unfortunately this was to room 122 which backs onto the towel store room and has a number of heating boilers inside. The result being is that the room is sweltering inside. If you open the windows you get the noise from the carpark as the room is on the ground floor. We were moved by one receptionist despite another receptionist asking what the problem was as we had been upgraded. The breakfast is virtually inedible with a very limited selection and the utensils should be binned. Overall I think they are catering very well for the Ukrainian refugees staying there but not the other residents.
Staff very helpfull and ever so friendly. We got a lovely meal in the restaurant. The lamb and desert was delicious
We've been to this hotel a few times in the last 15 years. It needs a total revamp. It's reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful. No sign of anyone in charge especially at breakfast time. No covers on food to keep them warm. Lack of choice for vegetarian
Stayed here recently and would never stay again. The whole hotel is old and dated. I was given packet soup at lunch time. Breakfast was appalling. Some cereals and greasy hot food and a few pastries. We couldnt eat there and went to a lovely cafe in Lahinch instead where we were able to get lovely porridge and pancakes for the kids. The hotel is way over priced. They charged extra for the kids club but the lady minding the kids didn't actually do anything and just stood there on her phone. When one of the kids lost a shoe I was helping to look for it and was appalled at the cobwebs and dirt behind the furniture and all the stale popcorn under the couch cushions. This hotel should not come up on recommendations as a top place for families to stay. A hygiene inspector needs to review the kids club area immediately.
Seems like this hotel has seen better days. Maybe it has different ages of room or is being renovated or something, but the room I stayed in was rather shabby stained carpets, damaged stained dressing table and other items of furniture, bath was clean but very worn out. There was also constant noise from plumbing or some kind of machinery outside. I didn’t find the bed comfortable either and I didn’t sleep well at all. There were also no tea coffee making facilities in the room, which is unusual for an Irish hotel. The location is good and the staff were friendly. I didn’t try any of the food so I can’t comment on the catering facilities but the bar area looked fairly good. Overall the experience was just very disappointing. For the price I paid I thought it was pretty bad value and it was let down by the quality of the room which is all that I care about really in a hotel stay.
