Contribuiți la feedbackWe loved this restaurant so much we eat here twice in 2 days! from the first greeting we were welcome. the fois grass star is so good, one of my favorite dishes, everything was with a perfect sancerre rose. simply delicious.... Pleasures at the chef and the dame in front of the house (which might have been the owner), they were all wonderful as eating them. I'd like to eat here again.
During my business trip to haubourdin I ask my friend to show me the best restaurant near haubourdin, and he drives me to la guinguette. I'm shocked when I saw the menu, it's amazing eating. try it and they will get the same experience as I get.
While I stayed in close to the edge of lille, I did some research to find a good restaurant, away from the euro 2016 quantity and close to our hotel. I found la guingette, a little too far to go, but it seemed with a taxi...fare this restaurant is away from the beaten stretch and tourist are unlikely to stumble over them. after the taxi driver arrives the wrong route that we arrived after 9 o'clock, the last orders at 9.30 o'clock la guinguette are located in a quiet residential area and had a few natives that finish their meal. the greeting was very warm by the owner. she speaks much better English than our French, so that communication was easy. anne also has a printed English translation of the dishes. she helped with our decisions. most of us had to start the st jaques in garlic butter. probably the best scallops I've ever had, fresh, soft and delicate. a dry white wine the perfect lead. for the main course I had cote de veau. others had filet de beouf and a dish. it seemed several offalen similar options (not my cup tee.) the kalbshaup was large and surprisingly boneless, but in mouth melted. it was delicious. the fries were also amazing. they had a hand-cooked look at them. Inside fluffy, outside crispy. I can't remember the red wine we had, but it was good with the meal. we were the last people who stayed in the restaurant, but still made us feel welcome so that we continue to plough with desserts. another amazing cursor. anna bojo franc is the cook and we could hear the cheers from the kitchen when frankreich won their euro 2016 game. I had an amazing dessert to finish small short baked goods with fresh celestials and berries. coffee, bill paid then anne offered the five of us a draw back to the hotel. what an amazing host and an excellent meal. the best of our journey to France. it is worth coming from the center of lille to try this restaurant.
