This is one of the few restaurants we have found that still serves real food. We discovered Coffee Friends before the hurricane and we’re glad to see that they reopened not long after the storm. We do not drink coffee so we can’t rate that, but we enjoy the breakfast knowing that it is good for us as well as tasty. On this latest visit, I had the Farmer’s Scramble with home fries and rye toast. It tasted exactly as I expected for a Farmer’s Scramble, with the right proportion of ingredients to each other and the eggs. I wish I knew how to cook like this at home! I have also had the French toast and an omelette in prior visits, both were excellent. I don’t remember what dh ate but he always has a good meal here. The owners are from Switzerland and the restaurant is kept immaculately clean. Decor is sparse in the dining room but that just helps to focus peoples’ attention onto their conversations with friends, which is the theme of the restaurant. One point of note for the decor is how comfortable the silver barstools are—I would love to find out who sells them and buy a pair for our house.

Our first impression was how CLEAN the restaurant is! It was fresh and bright, and it smelled delicious! Immediately we were greeted with smiles. The service was quick and the food was fantastic! The pancakes were fluffy and full of fresh blueberries. The homefries were perfect and not a touch greasy! The eggs were to order, bacon crisp, steak juicy and coffee strong and hot. I love a classic American diner meal, and this place provided exactly what I sought! Can't wait to take my family back.

Food- the Omelet was out of this world! Absolutely loved the home fries and toast. It was extremely delicious. As well as a cup of coffee, perfect taste and well made.Service- the service was very professional and helpful. My server Eric P. Was very sweet and polite, definitely knew how to greet a newcomer. He had very excellent communication as to what I liked to order. Very respectful as well.Atmosphere- as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a happy, warm smile and asked if I would liked some coffee.....like right as I walked in. It was awesome to know what I wanted right then an there. The way they have everything tidy and neat was very professional how the napkins/silverware were placed on the tables and on the bar. And behind the bar everything was well put in place, the cups are neatly put on the shelves the condiments were all stocked, etc......I 'm like wow they have really nice organized set-up and don 't forget it was clean and spotless. I 100% will definitely be coming back here for my coffee and breakfast.
