Bacco Re - ENFIELD

Visited with family and friends!Food was awesome. Atmosphere was definitely there.Our male waiter wasn't very welcoming & was quite dismissive when I asked a question related to the menu. Made me feel quite stupid as the menu is a little hard to decipher if you don't know Italian. He needs to loosen up and learn to smile but the girls were great & friendly and took over our table towards the end of our evening which was a pleasant ending.We will definitely be back and will definitely recommend. :-)

Okay this place is not fine cuisine but it has a special place in my heart. Larger tasty servings of Italian comfort food, no pizzas, reliable friendly service especially if you are a regular.

My husband and I went because of the convenient location and found a real gem of Italian. The only place I have tasted better was at our Italian friends house and some of the food was even better than that!We had two pasta dishes, I had the spaghetti Marinara and it was divine. It had loads of seafood in it and the tomato based sauces I opted for was delicious. It was topped with mussels and prawns and the waiter provided some fresh parmesan. My hubby had fettucine with lamb shanks, he ate it all but had to be rolled over the road to the hotel afterwards he was so full.... he loved it (and he is a fussy pain in the butt usually).The service was very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere nice. The paper on the tables is probably sensible, but comes of a bit "Cantina" rather than fine dining.We will go back here for sure when we next visit Sydney... loved it!Oh, my husband finished up with an espresso and he said it was the best coffee he had had in ages.

As we were staying at the Inn across the road we decided to have a meal at this Italian Restaurant. The ambience was great, the attention by the waiters (owners?) was good. I ordered the oso bucco which was an absolute disaster and was tasteless and drastically needed seasoning, spices and herbs. The two other guests in our party ordered the pasta, which was average (not great) and the pork chops which were fine. Really did not expect this bad food at the price we paid. Sorry, won't be back!

We were staying in the apartments across the street and liked the idea of a traditional Italian-style meal without having to drive. We were not disappointed - this is a great Italian restaurant with friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff and we enjoyed an excellent meal. My spicy prawn spaghetti dish made specially to order was top shelf and I would have no hesitation in recommending this place. Whilst fully licensed they also accept BYO wine with corkage at $3.50/head which isn't too bad, particularly if you happen to have a nice bottle ready to go!
