Hooked On Sushi - Encinitas

Parking is simple: just park, get out, and enjoy your meal. As for kid-friendliness, they have a fantastic activity menu for children, along with chopstick helpers and kid-friendly food. Our kids often ask to come here, which is probably the main reason we'll make a return visit.

The sushi was disappointing; the tuna had a flavor reminiscent of a refrigerator and felt more like fast food than authentic sushi.

We visited this laid-back, trendy restaurant on Saturday. The vibe of the staff is quite different from typical sushi spots in the area—I'd say it's just as good, if not better. The food was absolutely delicious, truly a delight. The service was a bit slower, but honestly, we didn't feel rushed to finish our meal. Our server, whose name I unfortunately can’t remember, was a young and calm gentleman who was very attentive. He may have been MIA at times, but he was still very on top of things. This has been my family’s favorite Sushi place for years but the past few times I have gone there, it’s been terrible! Hate the stainless steel plates, the sushi quality was terrible. And the prices have gone up!

My family took me here for my birthday. We had a great time! The food was delicious and the waitress was wonderful. My 2 year old grandson flirted with her the whole time. Lots of families. It does seem to get busy, but we only waited a few minutes. Vegetarian options: I can't eat seafood, so I had the teriyaki chicken, and we had vegetable tempura for an appetizer. Kid-friendliness: Crayons and paper to work to keep them occupied. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair can fit in the door and can seat at the end of the table.
