Pizzeria Adler Gastronomie

Forgive me, German people, but you in general cannot make pizza. I can hear the howls of derision as I type! But it's true. German pizza is some quasi, maybe American, maybe Italian disappointment. HOWEVER, at the Adler in Wasser just outside of Emmendingen one can find really very good, stone fired pizza with all the usual (European) toppings, and cheap. By cheap I mean Euro 5 and up to no more than about Euro 8.50. And it's a good size. The take out is prompt (a 10 minutes wait) and friendly (order at the counter just as you walk in to the Gasthaus). I can't speak for the food served within but I suspect it's good as well. Not an extensive menu but again all the usual Italian salads, pastas and pizzas one would expect in a small and somewhat out of the way place. I've had some truly mediocre pizza in Germany but this is really good pizza, and affordable.

Excellent food and a very varied menu, pleasant atmosphere, courteous service and reasonable price is very suitable for families, there is a nice courtyard to sit outside the restaurant

In the rule on the basis of our coupon book, we drove into the pizzeria adler. we had not expected much and were very surprised. here we will surely look back when we are in emmendingen. service during the entrance to the restaurant we were still a bit shy and fuzzy, because not someone was at the place and only someone looked out of the kitchen. the service (especially the fine) came however immediately very friendly around the corner. we were allowed to choose a table despite the previous reservation. that's always good if you don't have to have a certain table. there were still glasses of the predecessors who were taken with us immediately. the service was friendly, made a very competent impression and we had the feeling that he also kept the overview and his friendly, beautiful and quiet art when the bude full break. she saw her definitw in the handle. also a small herde of the kitchen (a reorder of my partner) made her to wager directly with her kind. the first curs was not so good. the tomato soup to 4 eur has missed the last cut. I would have had a nabel. but there was something wrong. otherwise she was okay. we wouldn't order them anymore. as the main course I had chosen gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce and spinat at 7.50 eur. the portion was very large and very tasty. I had to leave something else, otherwise I would be bursting. my friend had tagliatelle vulcano with sharp peffer sauce and chop meat. this court was free because of the voucher, but would normally have only about the 7 eur. I think it's pretty cheap for an Italian. the noodles were unfortunately also a bit through. the sauce was okay, but nothing special. the environment of the many white walls unfortunately do not lead to a Mediterranean Italian mood. the most beautiful corner of the entire restaurant we had chosen was a stone wall that gave a little more Mediterranean flair. cleanliness in the gas room we can't contradict anything, but with the damentoilettes a basic cleaning would have to be carried out in which all the corners are cleared out.
