Super Duper Burgers - Emeryville

I ordered a burger and jalapeño cheese fries at this restaurant. It was absolutely delicious and satisfying. The portions were large enough to share. Brenda was very helpful in taking my order and pointing out where to find the homemade pickles. Overall, I really enjoyed the food. I would rate the food 5 out of 5.

Super Duper is always a great option for a burger! Just a reminder, they offer a Mini for $7 (1 patty) and a Regular for $10 (2 patties). The patties are on the smaller side, but the Mini is usually sufficient. The price of $10 for a burger without cheese at a fast food place may seem high, especially when you can get a double double at In-N-Out for $5.xx. The burgers are tasty and made fresh. They also offer a Super Bird chicken sandwich for $10.25. The pickles here are fantastic, homemade with a nice kick of spice. The dining area has plenty of seating and the staff is attentive and helpful.

There are several aspects of this place that are less than satisfactory. We witnessed a customer being treated very poorly simply because he wanted to charge his phone in a less crowded area by the straws. Despite being a well-dressed older black man waiting for his order and bringing his own charger, the staff became rude towards him. Although there were others using outlets for their laptops, this was the only one available to him. He remained polite until the situation escalated, at which point he quietly confronted the staff. When I inquired with the manager later, she claimed it was a contamination issue, which seemed absurd given that there were jars of pickles nearby. The burgers were disappointingly small, with the chicken burger being inedible. While my bacon jam burger was tasty, it was also on the smaller side. On a positive note, the shakes were delicious.

Had the Jalapeno Philly burger. My first thought is this burger and fries are very small. But it was a very good burger! Fries also very good, cooked perfectly. I would give 5 stars if the burger were larger.Food: 4/5
