Contribuiți la feedbackThe restaurant offers delicious pub food at affordable prices reminiscent of the 1980s. The staff is friendly, the beer is cold, and the glasses are clean. The restaurant is easy to access. I would definitely return.
I visited the Emerald Hotel for the first time over 40 years ago, and I recently returned. Not much has changed since my first visit. The food is still delicious and consists of simple pub fare, with generous portion sizes typical of rural Queensland. I am very pleased with my dining experience.
I had lunch at the Emerald Hotel, searching for a nice yet affordable meal. I was pleasantly surprised by the menu, with meals starting at $12.50 and a good selection of options. Our meals were slightly pricier, but the grilled barramundi at $18.50 was worth it. My husband ordered the steak for the same price. We also enjoyed some sweet and savory sides, including beer-battered chips and gravy. I appreciated seeing the chef wearing a hair net while cooking, a detail that is often overlooked in many places.
If they are looking for silver service, this is not the place for them when they are looking for good old style pub food, at a great price $10 $20 they will love it.
We ordered our meal (standard special) and it took in excess of an hour of waiting at which point we gave up and asked the waitress to get them to package it. The people in line before us got their meal as did the three...tables that ordered after us. All of these groups were well finished their meal and we still had not got ours. To add insult, the meal was particularly awful and the vegetables were the cheap frozen packaged ones. Not acceptable service or food for a run down facility. The only pleasant part was the waitress who was very friendly. Don’t waist your time or money on this place!
