La Barra Del Mercat - Elx

Quite often you can find good food close to the main market, which we did in Elche. At the far end of a busy market with tables outside. Good salad, zamburiñas (scallops) and 2 local rice dishes with Jumilla wine. Good service and excellent food. Would definitely return.

I went there with some friends during our holiday. The place is not for 'fancy eating ' but for delicious eating. Truly delicious. It is located in a market... and by 'market ' I mean the place where you go get groceries, buy fruit, meat, cheese. I am emphasizing this because I was taken by surprise when my friends and I got there. Though it looked a bit particular (weird, unusual) we decided to stay. Best decision. The food was amazing. Personnel is really nice. Kitchen opens at 8 pm but you can have drinks before. Remember dinner is normally a late evening kind of event here. Moderate pricing. Local food. Fresh ingredients. Loved the experience!

I ate a menu today, it was very good. from first a teriyaky chicken and second a very good rice, served in individual paella, and tends to be very demanding with rice as good ilicitan. and the attention of the impeccable waiter.

It is always very nice and advisable to take something inside a central market, it is worth coming and talking to friends.

Sometimes luck smiles at us, we went to eat in a restaurant in the elche and was closed and we ran into the very good merchant bar and the excellent attention of diego, I'm sure we'll be back.
