El Canelo Mexican - Elwood

I still love the food, but all the staff has changed. We was used to the staff. They knew us from being there all the time. This is not the first time the entire staff changed. (Not that there is anything wrong with the current staff) they also changed the chips a year or 2 ago and they are hard now instead of crispy. They have really good salsa, and the fajita Tabasco is my favorite.

Y’all need to pay attention to the people calling in. I ordered supreme nachos. This is not it. I have it recorded and two other eye witnesses. They constantly make mistakes on orders. And the hamburger meat was cold. They didn’t even put cheese in it. Ugh! I’m from the border of San Diego. I expect there to be something other than meat and chips on tacos. My roommates order was messed up. We asked for no lettuce and there was still lettuce. Obviously the manager didnt listen to the order. If he was even the manager. How about listen and don’t mess with my food and I won’t be a jerk? There’s a concept. Worse experience ever!

The second you walk into El Canelo, you know you will have very authentic dishes. The decor is pure Mexican. The place was busy but the service was great. They really take care of your needs. Treated like family. Definitely want to go back again soon.

Service was good, food was amazing. Loved the mushrooms in each of the dishes we got, they were very well seasoned and cooked. The rice was best I've had in a long time. Complements from everyone in our group.
