Cherry Island Grill - Elverta

Haven't golfed at Cherry Island in years, but I am at the Cherry Island Soccer Complex a few times a year for youth soccer tournaments. I come here in between games for lunch. The food is great and the service is fast. I highly recommend the Club House Sandwich and they typically have a few good beers on tap including a house brand that I believe is made for them by Belching Beaver. They have two TVs in the dining area to watch whatever sporting events might be on. The service is always on par.

We love coming here. The food is really good and we've gotten to know the staff and they are awesome. It's surprising how good the food is for a golf course. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Unfortunately, after a long and enjoyable 18 holes, we were met with disappointment. My two girlfriends and I had purchased 3 tall can white claws which we drank on the course. One for each of us. We stopped after 9 holes and had a shot in the bar. We played a following 9 back nine. As we finished we went into the bar for a beer, the older gentleman and woman said we cannot serve you. Provided a law. (I work for the state. That law does not apply to courses) he refused to serve us. We had one drink each from him. It 's discriminatory and rude and beyond sexist. There was a guy standing inside drinking hard mixed drinks for HOURS but that 's okay. ?? Explain for us @Cherryisland

All other courses in the area give complimentary range balls when paying for a around. Not this course. Charge you premium for a average course and then expect the customer to purchase range balls also WILL NEVER PLAY HERE AGIAN!!!
