Livia Italian Eatery - Elmhurst

We hadn't seen our friend in a long time due to her husband's illness, but we finally got together for dinner. The restaurant offered a wonderful selection of salads, pastas, and chicken dishes. The beet salad was outstanding, as was the mixed greens with roasted vegetables. I was worried that the main courses would be small, but I was wrong! Each dish was generous enough that we ended up taking home leftovers. My wife's lasagna was enormous—I would recommend it for sharing between two people. My tortellacci came with five pockets filled with cheese, and I asked for roasted tomato sauce instead of vodka sauce; it was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Our friend ordered the Chicken Limone, which featured two grilled chicken breasts alongside a variety of vegetables. She enjoyed dipping bread into the well-presented sauce, claiming it was fantastic! We dined outside, and the spacing between tables was excellent, taking into account Covid-19 precautions. The walkway was wide enough for two rows of tables with a spacious middle path. The wine list was decent, though not overly extensive. Overall, we had a delightful dining experience and will definitely be returning.

I always love the food from this place. The quality is exceptional, and the service is excellent.

The ricotta cheesecake was the best I've ever had, and the blackened shrimp appetizer was fantastic!
