If you're in search of a traditional, no-frills diner with a blue-collar vibe, Fred's place is the spot for you. I remember coming here years ago when I was a local delivery driver. Recently, I was driving past on my way to a meeting when I realized I hadn't eaten lunch yet. I decided to stop in and try their patty melt deluxe, and it was amazing. The dish was simple, cooked right in front of me on the flat top grill and served on a classic melamine plate. It was a delicious and comforting meal that hit the spot.
