Egg Harbor Cafe - Elmhurst

This place has a lovely cozy atmosphere. The warm color scheme, combined with their new winter menu, makes it a perfect spot for a holiday breakfast. We tried the new Cooper’s Hot Chocolate and the Cinnamon Apple Pancakes—both were fantastic! The food here is excellent, and I definitely plan to return.

The gluten-free menu is fantastic, offering a wide variety of options. The service was excellent—quick and attentive. The coffee was delightful as well. I will definitely return!

As for the Benedict, it was underwhelming; the sauce was bland and didn't have any hint of lemon. The potatoes tasted like they had been frozen and then deep-fried, lacking any seasoning whatsoever. I wouldn't have bothered taking the leftovers home, but my date suggested we could season it and mix the two dishes, which actually turned out well. If you decide to visit this restaurant, be sure to bring your own garlic, seasoning salt, cayenne pepper, or any other spices to enhance the flavor!

The food was delicious! There was a brief wait to get in. Once we were seated and ordered, our food came out in a timely fashion. It was an overall great experience.
