The Rose - Elmbridge

I have been here twice in the last month and it really is brilliant!! The food is delicious and the staff are very attentive. The chicken tikka jalfrezi is my favourite. I can't wait to go back!

We are very lucky to live next to the best curry house! The food is amazing and staff very friendly and accommodating.

My first visit and sadly probably my last despite my nephew rating this as his favourite Indian restaurant. Four of us went here on a Saturday evening and I think that the problem might have been that they were so busy with a never ending line of customers coming in to collect takeaways that they rather forgot that others were eating in the restaurant. The waiter who took our order looked disapprovingly when we said that we would skip the starters and go straight in to main courses. Some 50 minutes later we enquired when our meal might be served and shortly afterwards it arrived but it didn't look particularly appetising and we sent back 2 of the chicken dishes as they were cold. My chicken tikka biriani was pretty bland as was the vegetable curry that it came with. In fairness one of us found his lamb dish to be excellent but the other 3 of us left very disappointed.

We were a group of 4 who arrived about 8.30 pm. The food and the service were terrible. The waiter brought out stone cold plates for us to eat our main course from. We had to ask for warm ones !! I am a seafood eater. I had garlic mussels without garlic ! Overcooked, hard and dry. I followed with a prawn dish. Similarly the prawns were hard, dry, and overcooked. All food appears to come in a reddish sauce irrespective of the dish.

Great place to go and have a nice curry friendly staff and helpful service nice place to eat as a couple or with family.
