My family and I went to this restaurant for a New Year's Eve lunch. Our first impression was great, with a very welcoming staff. We were seated at our table and the waitress took our order for starters. However, it was a bit strange that she came back 15 minutes later to take our main order. The food was tasty and there was plenty of it. Unfortunately, the service went downhill from there. No one checked on us to see if everything was okay, and after finishing our meal, we waited 25 minutes before having to ask someone to clear our table. They did so, but never returned to see if we wanted dessert, coffee, etc. We were disappointed as we had been looking forward to the chocolate brownie with Baileys. The food was good, but the service definitely needs improvement.

This pub is lovely for drinks with nice view of the river Thames, but unfortunately I don’t recommend it for food as takes a long time to arrive, not very fresh and and doesn’t taste very good.

Amazing atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff, they were very attentive, such a lovely pub with brilliant river views.

I had made a reservation at this pub for my birthday celebration in September with the hope of having a memorable evening with friends. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disastrous experience. Right from the start, the extremely high prices of the drinks took us by surprise, and to make matters worse, we were welcomed by overflowing toilets upon our arrival. The leakage from the toilets had started seeping through the ceiling, creating an unpleasant and unhygienic environment for everyone, particularly for the customers downstairs. It was unbearable! To add to our disappointment, one of the toilets was completely clogged, and it seemed like the staff was unaware or simply did not care about the issue. Furthermore, a young child unfortunately vomited on the floor downstairs, and the mess was left unattended for an appalling 20 minutes, resulting in a disgusting atmosphere for everyone present. To our shock, the plumber who was called in to fix the issue was carrying a rod that seemed to be leaking urine everywhere. This lack of hygiene standards was unacceptable and very off-putting. On top of all these incidents, the drinks were overpriced, and to our dismay, they had run out of spirits. Despite these glaring issues, there was no sign of any apologies or compensation from the management. I strongly recommend avoiding this establishment, especially for special occasions or celebrations. It was a night that left a bad taste in our mouths and has definitely tainted my view of this pub.
