Syriana Cafe Gallery - Ellicott City

Down a street full of cafes this one stands out as exceptional. The food is authentic and delicious as well as having some of the best coffee and tea on the block. If you like strong black coffee I'd recommend the Turkish coffee.

Full experience was amazing, the ambiance was great as well. But the food and the service top quality. Our Server was so nice and accommodating. I will be going back. My new favorite spot. In the pictures I got the: Baklawa, Kenafa, and the Mixed Grilled Platter with Rice and Fatouch.

If you're in the area, it's worth the effort to find parking. The hummus is not spicy (add your own at the table) and the olive oil is not overwhelming. The Grape leaves are served hot and are very flavorful. This is my new favorite place to eat in MD! They also have some Syrian-made rugs and table runners for sale.

I'm writing this review while struggling to breathe because I indulged in way too much delicious food! My wife and I really enjoyed the atmosphere on the top floor; it was quiet and a bit dim, which made it feel intimate and secluded. The owner is incredibly nice and welcoming, and it's clear that everyone at the restaurant takes pride in what they've created, especially with their commitment to hiring many refugees. We will definitely be back soon—thank you for having us!
