Red Horse Diner - Ellensburg

This position is only so unique. loved the back yard

It took 3 hours to get our food, we ended up bussing our own water to and from the table due to never seeing our server and we were outside in the hot sun. (The server was very nice and apologetic) but waiting 3 hours for cheap diner food on a Monday at noon is ridiculous, the waiter admitted to a mistake and we were told we were getting a 25% discount. We get the bill and notice our bills are only discounted 3-5 dollars off the total bill. Than we were informed our food was only 25% off. Than we waited another 45 minutes for the checks after our cards were taken. In total we were here for over 4 hours and only got our food the last 40 minutes of being there. And the manage was incredibly disrespectful when we came forward with our discomforts. Will never go back would never waist my time like that again.

I am not one to write reviews, especially negative ones, but after my experience with Red Horse I feel obligated to. We got to the diner at 11 am on a Monday and did not leave until 3pm. We were seated outside in 75 degree weather in the sun and left without water or other drinks for over 45 minutes. Our party had to go inside to ask other waiters to provide us pitchers of water and cups so we could serve ourselves. Once we ordered, we waited about an hour (fair as we were a relatively large group) before checking in. We didn't hear anything from our server until we were told that our order was not ever actually put in without an apology until an hour after the fact. So two and a half hours in we are still without food. If we hadn't already gotten our drinks we would have left. Once we did finally get our food, it took over 20 minutes to get our checks, 15 more minutes for the waiter to go through all our orders, and another 20 minutes to get our cards back after. After all that's said, we were offered a 25% discount for the inconveniences! But upon looking at our checks that discount was only applied to food. Not drinks. So we probably were comped back about $4 per person. The food is fine. The space is great. But not worth the heatstroke and 4 hour wait. If I could give 0 stars I would.

So terribly rude when I asked a simple question about my bill. We were here for a celebration of life and she charge me double for an $8 drink and would've fix the issue when asked very nicely why it was as much as it was. She rolled her eyes at us and slammed the door when leaving the restaurant. She ruined our great experience before the incident. We typically love it here. Very disappointing and totally inappropriate service.

Tried to eat here, recieved a warm welcome when we came in and then... nothing. Went up to get menus and remind them we were here...still nothing. Finally a server said, oh, I didn 't know you were here , and then never came back. My grandparents were very disappointed as this place supposedly has a good Reuben.
