Palermo Italiano - Elk Grove

Absolutely fantastic food! The lasagna is the best I've ever had, and the rack of lamb is exceptional too. As someone from Italy, I highly recommend this place!

This family-owned restaurant always exceeds my expectations. The service is consistently outstanding, and the food tastes just like it was made by a true Italian in their own kitchen. Last night, I enjoyed the seafood risotto, which was incredibly delicious, and I also sampled my husband's enormous lasagna (I lost count of the layers)—it's always fantastic and could easily serve three people! I treated myself to dessert as well, and I found the cannoli to be unbeatable. The chocolate hazelnut was rich and creamy, while the limoncello dessert was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. Plus, parking is free and hassle-free. I can’t wait to come back!

Eventually, the server, who I later learned was the owner's daughter, came to our table. She mentioned that water and bread would be arriving shortly, even though we hadn't ordered those. After another 25 minutes, she finally asked for our drink order, at which point I indicated that we would like to order food as well. Just as our food was being served, the party of two received their meal. We received our food at the same time as our appetizer, which was quite confusing. My dad ordered another glass of wine that never arrived. I would have brought up my concerns, but it felt awkward to complain to the owner's daughter. It seems like if you’re not part of their inner circle, the service is lacking. I have no plans to return to this restaurant.

I love this place. The ambiance food and service are the phenomenal. I would recommend this place to anyone.

First time and last time I came here to eat. We got here at 7pm and it's 830pm we still did not receive our food. It's amazing how service here. If you have time to wait for 1 hour and half for your food then this is the place for you.
