Guyanese Treats - Elizabeth

This is the best Guyanese restaurant in town. I travel frequently and this place is top notch. Their curry chicken Roti, stew chicken, peas and rice, and jerk chicken are all incredibly delicious. Highly recommend trying their dishes!

I was delivering a load nearby, so I decided to check out this restaurant. At first, I thought it probably wouldn't be anything like restaurants in New York, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. I ordered the curry chicken roti with cabbage and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Every j chicken I've had since I moved to Jersey has been more sweet than anything else. But not this one.This j chicken is the one. Spicy, flavorful, tender. Goes amazing with their rice and peas. Some of the best I've had!

First time trying Guyanese cuisine. It appears to be similar to Jamaican cuisine to which I also enjoy. Food was delicious. Cabbage was good. My only complaint would be is they treated the brown stew chicken as if was oxtail meaning I received more oxtail than I did chicken which is not normally the case at any location that serves oxtail. The poller juice was also excellent. Wasn't too fond of the cheese patty but I'd recommend the beef. I also enjoyed their rice and peas.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious. My group ordered the jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, and curry chicken, as well as plantains. Everyone was delighted with their meals, with the sounds of enjoyment frequently heard throughout our meal. We also tried the chicken curry patties, which were incredibly tasty and now have me craving another one. The prices were fair, the hot sauce was excellent, and the food was served by friendly and attentive staff. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.
