Hilton Garden Inn El Paso University

This location survives solely off of its proximity to downtown. Service is decent, everything is out dated bathrooms are sketchy at best, and it’s overpriced for the offering. In dire need of renovation. Been coming here for years and it just keeps getting worse. The swastikas etched in the elevator walls that have been there for years say it all.

We ended up booking this hotel last minute because the place we were supposed to stay at that night felt unsafe and was not clean at all.I just have to express that this Hotel SAVED us. Starting from how accommodating and sweet the staff treated my family and all the way to how cozy and safe we felt at this Hilton. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in El Paso and this has to be on my top 3 of cheap and safe hotels. I would definitely stay here again.

Bottom Line: Dirty, bad service, cheapArrived early and granted early check-in. Room floor was dirty and surfaces were dirty. When I say dirty, I mean gravel in the carpet and one baby wipe to the desk ended with it being brown.Called down to the desk and told them I'd be gone for 2.5 hours and could they clean the room and replace sheets and towels (my trust in clean linen in this room diminished due to floor cleanliness). Arrived 2.5 hours later and they partially cleaned the floor and left the gravel in the carpet portion.We ended up cleaning our own room, to include vacuuming (their vacuum is awful; my home vacuum which is $90 has stronger suction).Overall, I would never stay here again and I don't recommend at all. The ONLY good thing about this hotel is its proximity to UTEP.

This property is in a great location. That's about the best thing I can say about it. Bathroom fixtures had rust on them, I found items left behind by previous guests in our room. The ottoman had buttons coming off. The hall smelled bad at time.

Initially, I faced some difficulties with the room reservation. However, we eventually managed to get it sorted out. Upon my arrival, I met Isabel, the manager, who did an excellent job addressing the issue. She was incredibly friendly and took care of everything! I will definitely stay here again when I visit my son at UTEP. As a bonus, I had dinner at the bar with my son, and the food was tasty. The bartender was also a really nice guy!
