Ardovino's Pizza - El Paso

Usually visit Ardovino's for lunch with my friend. Always good food, great service and comfortable atmosphere.

Our visit was pretty frustrating, thanks to Fernando, the guy seemingly in charge of the wait staff. We were just 15 minutes over their closing time, and he’d already told us to pack up and leave three times. We were trying to hurry up, but his rush felt over the top, especially when he mentioned something about needing to get minors home—a point that left us more puzzled than anything.Things really took a turn for the worse when he started yelling from the bar area. I suggested he focus on letting the minors go home if he was so concerned, and that’s when he told me to lower my voice and even threatened to call the police, even when he was the one that started the conversation by yelling literally from the bar.Fernando’s handling of the situation was disappointing, rude, and just plain strange. The food might be good, but with that kind of service vibe, I think I’d rather take an extra few minutes to go somewhere else next time.

The first time here, atmosphere was awesome, and pizzas were delicious. The gluten-free crust was just right. The size of pepperoni was surprisingly large. Definitely coming back.

The food is amazing as always but the service at the sunset location is always horrible. The servers are always more concerned with their conversations than customer service. 5 different servers walked by and we weren’t addressed by anyone till we asked to place an order. It took 15 minutes for someone to come take our order. Three other tables around us had the same problem, one couple left. It’s the exact same problem every time we stop by.

Awesome calzones especially the ones with green chili’s and pesto. The Four Season’s pizza gave us a taste of four of their pizzas in one and it was delicious. To top it off, the waitress was attentive and provided excellent service even when she was the only serving more than 5 different tables at a time. If I lived around the corner, I would come by at least once a week.
