Poor Red's B-q - El Dorado

Finally stopped to try Poor Red 's Bar-B-Q! It 's a Saturday, 1:30 pm and lots of people but still plenty of parking across the street and on the main road. Walked in to a very well air conditioned bar area. Looks like lots of locals maybe...well they knew I wasn 't a local LOL. Music wasn 't too loud, i was able to hold a conversation without yelling. TVs in several areas so not a bad spot to watch a game, relax, and have a meal. Ordered the pork tips, garlic fries, and the Red 's burger with grilled onions! All I can say is AMAZING!! The pork tips just melt in your mouth! The dipping sauce, Chipotle aole, wow! Has little kick to it but not too much. Perfect dipping sauce for the pork tips! If you like crispy fries! This is the place! So crispy you crunch with every chew. Crispy but just right...not overly crisp. Me I like crispy! Next time I might ask for a little longer but really not necessary, they 're perfect with a layer of shredded parm on top. The Red 's Burger bun is full and fluffy. A great bun and an even better what looks like handmade butter patty! Crispy veggies are fresh and crisp. A great choice for a burger. Applause to the cooks! Great job! Went with the Ode To Opal as a drink...pretty good. Next time will try their famous Gold Cadillac. Sounds like a treat. Leaving with a box of leftovers for later!!! Yes!!! I 'll definition if ever in the area again. Thank you Frida for the amazing service and food drink suggestions!! Will definitely come back for the Cadillac drink!

This is a true gem of a dining experience! Our first incredible meal was end of February and since then we have dined here 3 times now! The menu selection meets every craving you can imagine. The welcome and friendly energy received also amazing as well! The garlic fries...... THE GARLIC FRIES.............OH.......MY........ GOODNESSsssssss!!!!!! The hands up dancing with joy kind of garlic fries and the best I have ever experienced! Chunks of garlic and just crunchy enough! There is a very generous amount given so there is also left over to enjoy later at home! We ordered the chicken wings last time and since then have been craving them so returned 2 weeks later for more. I've also enjoyed their shrimp tacos and their lemonade is always refreshing and comes with a friendly and joyful smile. Parking can be a bit limited if not arriving at the perfect time. We were lucky and have been able to always get one of the last spots behind the restaurant. Tiffany, Aleyna and Frida have been our servers the 3 times we have visited and all 3 ladies were equally charming, friendly, attentive and very joyful with their energy. Easy to note that the management must take very good care of their staff because everyone seems happy. Although a bit of a drive for us to dine here we don't mind at all knowing we are in for a treat!

Poor Red's offers a complete dining experience. It is a beloved destination known worldwide, combining elements of a dive bar, BBQ restaurant, top-notch bar, and popular local hangout. We have been visiting for over 50 years and can confidently say that it has never been better than it is now.

I have dined at this restaurant multiple times over the years, but recently I have been let down. As a fan of BBQ ribs, I chose to celebrate my birthday here last Wednesday. Unfortunately, the ribs were tough and subpar. I couldn't even eat the leftovers because I was so disappointed with the fresh ones. Our bill was surprisingly high considering we didn't order much. I will definitely be trying a different BBQ spot next time. The only saving grace were the drinks at this place. Overall, it was a disappointment.

This half pound burger was everything I was hoping for and more! Everything was fresh and delicious, and we added the fried string onions. The service was also very friendly, and the restaurant was comfortable and clean with both indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely going back!!!
