Triple L Bbq - El Cajon

My buddy recommended this place and was excited to try yet another BBQ restaurant in San Diego. The menu looked great until we placed our order and realized they were out of everything but pulled pork, hamburgers and brisket. Was really wanting to try their spare ribs, beef shorts ribs, Texas turkey, and the sausage links. Was a crying shame to drive this far to find that out. So many hapless guests after us were told the same thing. Loved the brisket, and pulled pork and hamburger wasn't too bad. Not sure I would return unless they can Google how to order and prepare food in normal portion sizes.

We went to hear the live music to Grand Ole Bbq yesterday with Tim Flannery (of the Padres past) playing. I was stressed at the beginning because a large crowd had gathered and I was concerned about how they would seat and severe this crowd. The staff handled it all perfectly and everyone was seated in a very orderly manner. Tiffany was our server and she was fantastic: fun, friendly, fast and super efficient. The food was great we had pulled pork, brisket sandwichs and pork ribs. The food was delicious! Tim Flannery and his band played amazing music and toldmany wonderful stories. This was a super memorable Saturday afternoon! Thanks again Tiffany! By the way Tim has several cds out and a new release is coming! Great Day we will go there again soon!

Stopped her for a quick bite, almost didn't for whatever reason but I'm so glad we did! Pretty much any sandwich with bbq meat and a good coleslaw I feel like you can't go wrong! The brisket was absolutely delicious! The pork ribs were absolutely delicious and tender too! And I love the pickles! The only thing that was disappointing was that they were out of beef ribs , but from my understanding it has to do with a supplier issue because the supplier they buy from I guess was giving very fatty beef ribs so they stopped buying from that supplier so my guess is they have limited supply of beef ribs the friesin the borracho fries were fresh and crispy I think you really need to add brisket to it... iwould100% come here again!

Food is amazing! The 3 star review is for the servers who need to put a smile on their face and act a least a little friendly. I've been here a dozen times and have received good/normal service maybe 3 times. Most of the servers we've had are rude and act like they don't want to be there. Last time I went we didn't even bother our server for water or ranch dressing because it seemed like she would throw a huge fit if we asked. For the price of the food (which is very good don't get me wrong) you would think the service would reflect that!
