La Fonda de la Abuela - El Bolsón

We sat in the early afternoon for just a café con leche and that was good, and nicely expensive. Locals also advised us to eat here so that was our dinner for the evening.... But what a shame! I had the ojo...de bife, and I like it medium (medio) but what a shame, no single red visible, simple and black fried, life was completely burned out of the flesh. One of the girls had a grilled chicken, but that was cold. In my opinion, this rest doesn't deserve to eat at the seventh best places here than I'm insulting the other restaurants here. Do not have to stop, but only for the café...

On the way down on the incredible R40 we pass El Bolson. After the walk of the very beautiful city it was time for lunch. Then we'll get the venture. Server Cordiality was the standard as in all Patagonia. The place was nice and clean, the food was very good, homemade and in oversized portions. It is normal in Argentina to share the dishes. You better stay here as a rule. All in the menu, (not too wide by the way, but the quality compensate it) is to order without regretting to be wrong, I say that not only because what we have tried, but for the dishes we observe to go past for the other males. The local beers are amazing and wine is always good throughout the country. You have a wide choice of both. Is a place to recommend.

We went with my couple at night, we asked for a Neapolitan milanese with fries (a dish not very complicated) and a supreme chicken with salad; the incompible milanesa (as it will be that they did not charge it) the crude potatoes and the supreme was like cardboard. The only good thing was the beer that came bottled. I don't recommend it.

We came looking to have a good time, attracted by the free fork signs, with a menu that included trucha, deer and something else, the trout never arrived, they told me that it was already going out, when we asked again they told us that the kitchen was already closed, the food was not all in good condition, it tasted reheated, we really did not like it, we will not come back and we do not recommend it. A pity since the place looks very good and the waiter that served us was very kind. Then for comments we saw that we were not the only ones.

The food was quite rich and varied. the price was cheap and the attention is excellent. I tried almost all the meats and several salads, plus an exquisite craft beer.
